The cardiological department for the treatment of patients with AMI was organized on 02.07.2012. in the structure of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital, as part of the creation of a regional vascular center. Deployed for 60 beds, includes 12 beds of the intensive care unit (ICU).

The department provides round-the-clock emergency assistance to patients in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation No. 918 N of November 15, 2012. "On approval of the procedure for providing medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases" and orders of the UZO: No. 760 of 06.07.15. "On the interaction of state medical organizations of the Lipetsk region in the provision of planned and emergency care to patients with cardiovascular diseases", No. 1774 dated 21.12.15. “On Amendments to the Order of the Health Department dated 06.07.2015. Examination and treatment in the cardiology department for the treatment of patients with AMI is carried out at a modern level using drugs registered in the Russian Federation in strict accordance with the local standards of the State Healthcare Institution "LOCB", developed in full accordance with the recommendations of the All-Russian Scientific Society of Cardiology, the standards of medical care approved by orders of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation

The department is located on the 5th floor of the therapeutic building. Medical assistance in the department is provided by: 16 doctors, more than 50 middle and junior medical staff.

The main tasks of the department are to provide highly qualified medical and diagnostic assistance to patients with:

acute myocardial infarction and its life-threatening complications;
unstable angina;
threatening paroxysmal heart rhythm and conduction disturbances;
as well as advice to doctors from other departments of the hospital and medical institutions of the city and region in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

In the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and unstable angina pectoris, the department uses modern intensive care in combination with selective coronary angiography and operative myocardial revascularization (balloon angioplasty, stenting of an infarction-associated coronary artery), preoperative preparation, rehabilitation after stenting of coronary arteries, and referring patients to cardiac centers.

All patients admitted to the intensive care unit for patients with acute myocardial infarction are monitored with multifunctional cardiac monitors, which assess the frequency and rhythm of cardiac activity, violations of the automatism and conduction of the heart, respiratory rate, saturation of hemoglobin with oxygen and body temperature. The recorded data coming from the bedside monitors are displayed on the central console, where there is a permanent medical staff on duty, who are able to provide qualified resuscitation care at the first alarm signal.

The intensive care unit for patients with acute myocardial infarction is equipped with:

Infusomats - for long-term parenteral administration of drugs, allowing them to be dosed with high accuracy in patients with various somatic pathologies;
Electrocardiographs - for the diagnosis of acute coronary insufficiency, arrhythmias and cardiac conduction disturbances;
Pacemakers - for temporary endocardial, transvenous stimulation in case of violations of automatism and cardiac conduction;
Respiratory equipment, necessary for the development of clinical death as a result of acute respiratory or heart failure.

The presence of a mobile X-ray unit makes it possible to quickly diagnose possible complications of the underlying disease or exacerbation of concomitant pathology. A modern ultrasound apparatus allows for echocardiographic studies with an assessment of the functional state of the valvular apparatus of the heart and local contractility of the myocardium.

Upon stabilization of the condition, patients from the BIT are transferred to the wards of the department. Conditions of stay in the department: The department has 3 and 4 - local wards, as well as single wards ("ward of enhanced comfort").

The use of modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of acute cardiovascular pathology in combination with the high professionalism of the doctors of the department makes it possible to provide highly qualified and high-quality care to patients, saving many human lives.
