The Department of X-ray Surgical Methods for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart and Vascular Diseases (previously, X-ray Heart and Vascular Surgery) was opened in January 1998. The department has two X-ray operating units (in the surgical and therapeutic buildings of the hospital), consisting of two operating rooms equipped with a stationary angiographic complex "Advantx LCV +" by "General Electric" (USA) and a mobile angiographic apparatus - C-arm "BV Pulsera" firm "Philips" (Holland).

The task of the department is to provide all types of medical and diagnostic assistance to the population of the city and the region using endovascular equipment under X-ray control.

X-ray contrast methods for examining blood vessels of the heart (selective coronary angiography), lungs, brain, liver, kidneys, intestines, extremities and other organs and systems have been mastered and introduced into clinical practice. Probing and radiopaque examination of the heart chambers are performed.
