The department is a center for the provision of specialized care for seriously ill neurosurgical patients in the Lipetsk region. The department is engaged in the provision of planned and emergency medical care, as well as the conduct of anesthetic aids to patients with craniocerebral and spinal injuries, tumors of the brain and spinal cord, with acute cerebrovascular accident, patients with convulsive conditions of various etiologies, coma of various etiologies, with impaired vital functions, etc.

The department is equipped with:

  • a system of centralized monitoring of the patient's basic vital functions. UCM;

  • modern anesthetic and respiratory equipment "Dräger Primus and Fabis plus" with the ability to conduct low-flow mechanical ventilation with modern inhalation anesthetics.

Methods and algorithms for diagnostics and treatment have been developed and are widely used. The department staff combine clinical experience with scientific activity, and also work to improve the methods of the treatment process in emergency and critical conditions in patients with diseases and damage to the central nervous system.
