Department of neurology
Since the founding of the Lipetsk Regional Clinical Hospital, 1954, a neurological department has been functioning. It is an integral part of a medical institution, since the pathology of the nervous system occupies a significant place in the overall structure of morbidity. Since 1986, for 32 years, the department was headed by Igor Anatolyevich Sokolov, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation. Currently, the head of the department is Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Nikonova.
The neurological department is staffed with qualified personnel - all doctors are specialized on the basis of leading clinical centers, have the first and highest qualified categories.
Neuroimaging research methods (CT, MRI), duplex scanning of cerebral vessels using devices of new modifications, X-ray surgical techniques, ENMG are widely used. Along with this, EEG, REG, Echo-EG have not lost their significance. In the diagnostic process, the capabilities of the clinical and immunological laboratory are widely used.
