Department of functional diagnostics

The Department of Functional Diagnostics (OFD) was organized in 1989. Since 2006, the department has been headed by Natalya Viktorovna Zaikina, Candidate of Medical Sciences.

The department employs highly qualified specialists: out of 16 doctors, 8 have the highest qualification category, out of 28 nurses, 13 have the highest qualification category.

Diagnostic assistance to the population in a medical organization is provided using high-quality modern equipment. Ultrasound examinations are carried out on expert class ultrasound scanners Philips Epiq5, Philips CX50, Siemens S2000, Toshiba Aplio XG and high-class Sonosite M-Turbo. Treadmill test and bicycle ergometry are performed on SCHILLER equipment; daily monitoring of ECG and blood pressure - using the systems Cardiotechnika, Valenta, LCA Advanced technologies, BP Lab and SCHILLER.

The annual volume of research is more than 80 thousand. The widest range of functional and ultrasound research methods (27 methods) is carried out:

12. Doppler ultrasonography of the palmar arches.
13. Duplex scanning of the brachiocephalic arteries.
14. Duplex scanning of limb arteries.
15. Duplex scanning of limb veins.
16. Electroencephalography (EEG).
17. Electroneuromyography (ENMG), including needle.
18. Visual evoked potentials.
19. Transcranial duplex scanning.
20. Bilateral transcranial blood flow monitoring in the middle cerebral artery with microembolodetection.

23. Ultrasound examination of peripheral nerve trunks.
24. Examination of the function of external respiration (FVD) - spirometry.

We are continuously working to improve the methods in accordance with the latest achievements of science: the introduction of new diagnostic methods, compliance with the changing regulatory framework, the development of new calculation methods.

Transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, ultrasound examinations of the nerve trunks, joints and ligamentous apparatus, electrophysiological examination of the heart are unique for the region.
