PHYSIOTHERAPY TREATMENT

In the physiotherapy department of the State Healthcare Institution "LOCB", preformed physical factors (apparatus physiotherapy) and natural factors (heat, mud, hydrotherapy) are used for the treatment of patients.

Hydrotherapy.

01.jpegSouls. Therapeutic effect on the body with water jets of various shapes, directions, temperatures and pressures. Used for neurasthenia, depressive conditions, vegetative-vascular dysfunctions, the consequences of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system and the peripheral nervous system (plexitis, neuralgia, myositis), hypertension stage I-II, hypotension, postinfarction cardiosclerosis, chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer in stages of remission, chronic colitis and functional bowel disorders, menstrual irregularities, menopause, sexual neurosis, obesity. Showers have a tonic and, in the course of treatment, a soothing effect, especially when the temperature gradually decreases and the pressure of the water jet increases.
Our department uses underwater massage showers, Charcot showers, circular showers and ascending showers.

02.jpeg"Pearl" baths - a therapeutic effect on the patient's body with fresh water oversaturated with air. Used for diseases of the peripheral nervous system, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychasthenia, chronic alcoholism, climacteric syndrome, initial manifestations of coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial dystrophy. They have a relaxing, calming effect, improve blood circulation.

General aerocryotherapy (cryosauna) and “dry” carbon dioxide baths are among the new methods of physiotherapeutic treatment used at the LOCB.

The principle of cooling the body or its individual parts with air-gas environments of extremely low temperatures forms the basis of the new method of cold therapy - aerocryotherapy (ACT).

03.jpegGeneral aerocryotherapy provides for total or subtotal immersion of the patient's naked body into the gas environment of the cryochamber at a temperature of -110 -180 ° C. The most distinct therapeutic effects of OACT include: analgesic, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating, decongestant, reparative, relaxing, anti-anxiety, antidepressant. Clinical tissue effects: elimination of edema of lymphatic origin; improvement of blood microcirculation and trophism in tissues, an increase in arterial blood flow and, to a large extent, venous outflow, and, therefore:

  • reduction of edema and intra-articular effusion;
  • muscle relaxation - the elimination of muscle contractures and a decrease in basal muscle tone;
  • improvement of trophism of bone and cartilage tissue;
  • blocking of nociceptive conduction with an increase in the pain threshold;
  • improvement of trophism of muscle, connective and other tissues, stimulation of regenerative mechanisms.

OACT can be prescribed to healthy and practically healthy persons for general health and anti-cellulite purposes without a preliminary medical examination. For medical purposes, an outpatient or inpatient is prescribed after examination by the attending physician, if necessary, after an electrocardiological examination, a general clinical analysis of blood and urine. Obviously, the scope of surveys can be expanded.

The method gives good results in the treatment of psoriasis, cellulite, atopic dermatitis (diffuse neurodermatitis), multiple sclerosis, stress relief, “chronic fatigue syndrome”.

04.jpegAmong the various methods of balneotherapy, an important place is occupied by "dry" carbon dioxide baths, which, thanks to special installations, allow to exert an effect on the patient with carbon dioxide and to exclude the mechanical (hydrostatic) and temperature effects of water. They are used for a number of pathological conditions. First of all, these include diseases that occur with circulatory failure, heart rhythm disturbances. Resistance to physical activity increases, processes in the nervous system are balanced (calming effect). They are used in the treatment of a number of metabolic disorders and diseases of the endocrine system (diabetes mellitus, obesity, hypothyroidism).

05.jpegSignificant anti-stress effect, moderate stimulation of the corticosteroid function of the adrenal glands, thyroid gland and gonads. Under the action of "dry" carbon dioxide baths, the action of water itself on the skin is excluded, which is an important circumstance in the treatment of many dermatoses. The clinical expression of this effect of the bath is the regression of inflammation, allergic manifestations and itching, as well as the sedative effect.

Among the latest technological solutions and effective therapeutic effects on the body, an important place is taken by the UHF pulsed electric field KSF (made in Japan), which has no analogues in medical institutions of the region. The leading therapeutic effects are: anti-inflammatory, pronounced analgesic, antiallergic.
