A breakthrough event in the life of our hospital!

The quality of medical care is determined by two components: reliable, modern equipment and competent, highly qualified specialists.

This year, the arsenal of our hospital has been replenished with innovative equipment - the Innova angiographic unit, manufactured by General Electric. This angiographic complex belongs to the 7th generation of equipment for endovascular interventions. The uniqueness of this device is that it has the ability to visualize images, including in 3-D mode, independently, based on the built-in Artificial Intelligence function. The doctor receives the optimal image automatically, without being distracted by manual adjustment during the operation. As a result, constant high image quality is provided and the X-ray radiation load on the staff and the patient is reduced. This angiograph will allow you to confidently and safely conduct research and operate not only on the coronary arteries, but above all on the vessels of the brain. The money in the amount of 59 million rubles was allocated on the terms of co-financing, both from the regional budget (with the personal decision of the governor) and within the framework of the Federal project "Fight against cardiovascular diseases".

Separately, it should be noted the work to improve the professional level of hospital specialists. This year, a new technique is being mastered for our region – surgical treatment of acute ischemic cerebral circulation disorders using intravascular thrombextraction. This technique is based on the removal of a blood clot from the cerebral arteries without incisions‼ The introduction of this technique will make it possible to treat patients with ischemic stroke more effectively, especially at the age of 40-50 years. Simply put, each such intervention is someone's life saved! A multidisciplinary team has been trained at the hospital. And in the successful implementation of the new technique, the specialists of the LOCB will be helped, including a modern angiograph!

It should be especially noted that equipping the hospital with a new angiograph for the region will be a breakthrough in the development of surgical treatment of vascular complications and catastrophes in the brain! A similar breakthrough event took place in 2012, when the Innova 3rd generation angiographic stand was installed under the Healthcare Modernization Program for the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome. Then it made it possible to widely deploy X-ray surgical care for patients with heart attacks. Over the past ten years, the number of X-ray surgical interventions in the hospital has increased by an order of magnitude. The number of selective coronary angiography has increased 10-fold, 15-fold the number of coronary artery stents has increased several times, and these are not just numbers – these are saved lives. Thanks to that breakthrough, the mortality rate from myocardial infarction in the hospital is 1.5 times lower than the national average. At the moment, a breakthrough should occur in the fight against strokes! And all the preparatory measures have been implemented for this!
