The surgical department enters the working rhythm of work after the completion of major repairs

Taking care of a patient's comfortable stay in a round-the-clock hospital and a convenient workplace for staff is an important section in building high-quality and safe medical care. To increase the level of comfort of patients, a major overhaul of surgery was carried out. Not only repairs were carried out, communications were replaced, but also for the first time an extensive network of centralized oxygen supply and vacuum aspiration was installed in each ward. This will allow providing the necessary oxygen support and connecting medical equipment for the treatment of purulent wounds directly at the patient's bedside, on the principle of "here and now"! As part of the development of digitalization and the creation of a single digital circuit, access points to the hospital's local computer network have been created. New functional beds have been purchased for all wards, modern medical furniture for treatment rooms, dressing rooms and other regime rooms. All treatment and dressing rooms are air-conditioned. The means of transporting patients now have an increased degree of safety. And the very appearance of the department has become optimistic: a wide and bright corridor, soft color of the walls, comfortable, safe furniture - all this creates a positive atmosphere and evokes positive emotions!

At the moment, the nature of the department's work has undergone significant changes. Since April last year, the institution has been operating as an emergency hospital. The surgery department is on duty around the city, providing assistance to emergency patients every third day, periodically and every other day. On such days, the number of requests increases dramatically. The number of requests to a medical institution exceeds 300 requests per day. 250-270 patients pass through the surgical department every month. The workload on the staff has also increased many times. In such an environment, concern for the quality and safety of surgical care cannot be overestimated.

It should be emphasized that the repair of the department has been postponed for a long time and has not been carried out for more than 15 years. And yet, despite the difficult situation, the implementation of anti-epidemic restrictive measures, a multiple increase in emergency work, it was decided to carry out repairs, for which 11 million rubles were allocated. The result of the work is already fully felt by the patients hospitalized in the department, and of course the staff who have the opportunity to work in comfortable conditions and provide better medical care to our patients!
